“I have been working in missions for 14 years. I have had the opportunity to work in several different types of ministries such as international mission trips, Pineywoods Camp ministries, and working with GA’s in my local church.  Also, I have attended camps at Pineywoods, have been a sponsor at Girls Camp, have led recreation at Girls Camp and other camps, and have served as a summer staffer at Pineywoods—all totaling close to half of my lifetime.  I am excited about Girls Camp and the opportunity be a part of sharing the Gospel with the girls!”

“I grew up in GA’s and even came to Pineywoods GA camp a couple of summers. When I was in college I got the opportunity to lead GA’s at my church. I brought girls to camp for three summers then graduated college and moved. The first summer after teaching I started working on the Leadership Team for Girls Camp. This summer will make 12 years that I have served on the Leadership Team. I love missions and am so thankful God has given me this opportunity to serve Him. I live in Magnolia and am member of FBC Magnolia. I work for Waller ISD as an Instructional Facilitator at Turlington Elementary.”

“My name is Lisa Bixler and I am married to a wonderful man named, Chad.  We have two teenage sons, Sean and Cobey. I gave my life to the Lord in January of 1999 at the age of 22 and I fall more in love with my Savior every day! I am Children’s Director at First Baptist Church in Rusk, where God called me to serve eight years ago. For the past four years, I have led a girl’s ministry, Buds, based off of Titus 2:11-14, teaching girls to say no to ungodliness and to do good for the sake of the gospel. I love to sing and there is always a song on my heart.  I absolutely love reading Old Testament stories in the Bible, but my all-time favorite verse is in Zephaniah 3:17 that reads, “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
