Statement of Faith

We believe fully
that the Holy Bible is written by men divinely inspired and is a written record of God's
revelation of Himself to man.

We believe the teachings of the Bible are relevant to
today's society and to traditional family values.

We believe salvation is a gift of God through faith in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
Statement of Purpose
Pineywoods Baptist Encampment, Inc. is a
facility that exists primarily for the purpose of providing a suitable environment for
Christian worship, training, discipleship, evangelism, and recreation for the churches in
the participating Southern Baptist Associations and Areas.
Pineywoods Baptist Encampment encourages use of
its facilities by other Christian groups, as space is available, whose purposes and
objectives are compatible with the statements of faith and purpose of Pineywoods Baptist
Encampment.
At the discretion of the Administrator,
Pineywoods Baptist Encampment allows use of its facilities by non-church groups, as space
is available, who pledge to abide by the rules and policies of Pineywoods Baptist
Encampment.
Scheduling priority will be first to groups of
churches of the supporting Southern Baptist Associations; secondly to groups affiliated
with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and/or the Baptist General Convention of Texas
(BGCT);
thirdly to other Christian groups not affiliated with either the SBC or the BGCT; and
lastly to non-church groups.
In keeping with the purpose of Pineywoods
Baptist Encampment, the Administrator has the authority to schedule or refuse the use of
the facilities.
